The Supply Chain Management (SCM) -the theme for NATCOM-2007-

appropriate that Materials & SCM professionals are fully

The NATCOM-2007 is an important enabler to fulfill this objective.
THE INSTITUTE
The Indian Institute of Materials Management [IIMM] emerged
as APEX BODY of Materials Management professionals in 1975.
Today it has 37 Branches & 19 Chapters spread over the country.
It has the membership of over 8000 Materials Management &
Supply Chain Professionals. The institute is affiliated to International
Federation of Purchasing & Supply Management as Charter
Member. The IFPSM has affiliations in 39 Countries.
ACTIVITIES
The Institute is dedicated to promotion of the profession of
Materials & Supply Chain Management through its multifarious
activities to keep the MM & SCM professions updated with
latest techniques & systems globally. The Institute organizes
Executive Development Programs through its branches and Regional
Conferences & Annual National Convention through the NHQ.
The IIMM has global presence now and of late has executed co-operation
agreements for extending the IIMM Educational Programs with
Govt. of Tanzania and Wisdom Educational Institutes, UAE.
CONSULTANCY
IIMM undertakes Consultancy assignments in MM & SCM for
industry in public and private sector.
EDUCATION
The IIMM regularly runs Distant learning and Evening Programs
through its Branches & NHQ. It's Graduate Diploma in Material
Management (GDMM), 2 years evening program is approved by AICTE.
The other Diploma Courses run by the Institute are Post-graduate
Diploma in Material Management (PGDMM) Post-graduate Diploma
in Logistics Management (PGDLM).
MBA(Materials Management) program in association with M.P.Bhoj
(open) University, Madhya Pradesh.
Modular learning programs in International Purchasing &
Supply Chain Management in association with International Trade
Centre (UNCTAD/WTO), Geneva.
Certified Purchase Manager (CPM) program in association with
Institute of Supply Mgt., USA
RESEARCH
The Institute Runs Centre for Research in Materials Management
(CRIMM) at Kolkata, in association with Indian Institute of
Social Welfare and Business Management which was established
in 1997.
This convention examines the current movement in the global
context, its impact on India in general and the Materials Management
professionals with supply chain/logistics management in particulars.
